John Rawley

John is a working actor and writer who’s been residing in the DFW area his whole life. He has a background in theater and film, but his main area of expertise is improvisational theater. He is the founder of The Alternative Comedy Theater and is a founding member of the Dallas based improv comedy troupe The Victims. John performs regularly in DFW as well as comedy festivals and venues all over the country.

John’s career began in 1993 and he has appeared in commercials (both television and radio) and industrial films for Frito-Lay, Office Depot, Pier One, Motorola, Wrigley’s Polar Ice Gum, The Washington Post, Texaco, KFC, Southwest Airlines, Radio Shack, Gamestop, Mission Tortillas, and Linens-n-Things. His film and television credits include Serving Sara, LAX, A House Divided, Chase, and Temple Grandin.

He has written several plays, including Whereabouts Unknown, which is published by Dramatic Publishing (www.dramaticpublishing.com), and written articles for Dramatics Magazine (www.edta.org). He also writes commercial copy, and several corporate industrial film scripts for JC Penney and ACAP Health.
